The flag of the Russian Republic of Adygea consists of a twelve yellow stars, nine forming an arc and three horizontal, and three intersecting yellow arrows on a green background. Green represents the forests of the region, and the color of yellow represents the harvests. The twelve stars represent the 12 tribes of the region, 9 of which are aristocratic and three of which are domestic, and the three arrow represent peace. This flag has been used since 1830 by people in the region and was officially adopted on March 24th, 1992.
