The flag of the island nation of Niue consists of a golden flag with a Union Jack in the upper left corner. On the Union Jack is four gold stars in a diamond and a gold star on a blue circle in the center. Yellow represents the sun, the Union Jack represents the country’s relationship with the United Kingdom, and the stars represent the country’s relationship with New Zealand. This flag was adopted on October 15th, 1975.
