The flag of the Austrian State of Upper Austria consists of the state’s coat of arms on two horizontal bands of white and red. The coat of arms consists of a shield and a crown. On the left side of the shield there is a golden eagle on a black background, while on the right side there are four vertical bands alternating between red and white. This flag was adopted on April 25th, 1949.
