The flag of the Brazilian state of Tocantins consists of a white background with a blue triangle in the top left corner, a gold triangle in the bottom right corner, and a gold sun in the center. The gold sun has eight long rays and sixteen short rays, alternating between two short and one long. Blue represents water, gold represents the riches of the state, and the sun represents peace. This Flag was adopted on November 17th, 1989.
