The flag of the Australian territory of Christmas Island consist of background colors of blue and green, split diagonally from the top left to the bottom right. In the lower blue region sits a white Southern Cross, and the top green region has a gold bosun bird. In the center of the flag is a gold disc with a green figure in the shape of the island. Green represents land, blue represents the sea, and the bosun bird is a symbol of the island. This flag was adopted on January 26th, 2002.
