by Roland Smoker | Jul 3, 2017

The flag of the German state of Bremen consists of alternating red and white stripes which are checkered on the far left side. This flag has been dubbed the bacon flag because it is said to look like strips of bacon with fat on it and was adopted on November 17th, 1891.
