The Flag of the English county of Nottinghamshire consists of a red St George’s Cross outlined in white on a field of green. In the center of the flag there is green silhouette of Robin Hood with a drawn bow centered in a white shield. Green represents the green fields and forestry of the county, and the Robin Hood silhouette is taken from a statue outside Nottingham Castle. This flag was the winner of a community competition and was officially adopted on May 20th, 2011.
