This flag of Saint Christopher-Nevis-Anguilla consists of a vertical triband of green, yellow, and blue with a black palm tree in the center. Saint Christopher, Nevis, and Anguilla are three islands in the West Indies which formed one British colony from 1882 to 1983. Throughout that time the colony had several different flags, this flag represented the colony from 1967 and was retired when Saint Christopher and Nevis gained their independence in 1983. Green represented Saint Christopher, yellow represented Nevis, and blue represented Anguilla. The palm tree has three branches, which represent the three islands. The tree also represents humility and pride while being a common vegetation of the islands. While Saint Christopher and Nevis have separated from the British Commonwealth, Anguilla remains a United Kingdom territory to this day.
