The Ivory Coast flag consists of three vertical bands of orange, white, and green. Orange represents the land, white represents peace, and green represents fertility. This flag is similar to several other flags, such as Ireland, and was chosen to have similar colors to Niger’s flag, which Ivory Coast has an alliance with. Ivory Coast adopted this flag on December 3rd of 1959.
